Description For Sr. Mobility System Engineer - Algorithm, Customer Terminal

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Senior Mobility System Engineer on the Kuiper Customer Terminal Team, you'll be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge satellite communication technology.

The role combines software engineering expertise with specialized knowledge in satellite communications, focusing on developing sophisticated algorithms for mobility terminals. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team, including electrical hardware, RF, antenna, silicon, and product design engineers, to create solutions that will help bridge the digital divide.

Your work will directly impact the development of both outdoor and indoor devices that enable customer internet service via the Kuiper satellite network. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on the entire development process, from early prototypes through mass production, including requirements documentation, architecture definition, and hardware development.

The role requires strong technical skills in programming, systems design, and Linux/Unix environments, combined with specific expertise in telecommunication and satellite communication systems. You'll be responsible for developing critical algorithms for pointing and tracking LEO satellites, working with various sensors, and creating simulation tools for validation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about space technology and software engineering who wants to make a significant impact on global connectivity. The position offers competitive compensation ($136,100-$235,200 based on location) and comprehensive benefits, including medical and financial benefits.
