Description For Sr Network Dev Engineer, Network Provisioning and Automation (Level 6)

Network Provisioning and Automation (NPA) at Amazon is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to lead automation initiatives for network infrastructure within Amazon's global fulfillment networks. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, focusing on building tools and systems that manage tens of thousands of IP-enabled devices and robots across worldwide facilities.

The position offers an opportunity to work on greenfield initiatives, tackling diverse technical challenges using technologies like Java, Python, Linux, and AWS services. As a senior engineer, you'll collaborate with SDMs, robotics solutions engineers, and product managers to innovate in the compute automation space. The role demands expertise in network protocols, automation scripting, and Linux/Unix environments. You'll be instrumental in developing robust, highly available systems that operate at Amazon's massive scale.

The team operates primarily from Austin and offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth. You'll be part of a tight-knit group that values innovation, simplicity, and fault-tolerant solutions. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $143,200 to $247,600 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, 401(k), and parental leave.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves automation, embraces ambiguity, and wants to make a significant impact on Amazon's global infrastructure.
