Sr. Ops Engineer, Deployment & Ramp, MSP Customer Experience

The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team at Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer for Deployment & Ramp to join their dynamic organization. This role is crucial in transforming standalone work-cells into end-to-end integrated solutions that are safe and easy to operate, maintain, deploy, and service.

The position involves overseeing multiple products and programs, focusing on deploying MSP solutions in both new and existing fulfillment centers. As a Sr. Ops Engineer, you'll be responsible for coordinating and executing installation, commissioning, and performance ramp-up of products in the field. This role requires extensive travel (75% domestic, 5% international) and combines technical expertise with project management skills.

You'll work with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, technical program managers, and internal customers, to ensure successful product deployment and achievement of business requirements. The role demands strong leadership abilities, as you'll be managing project portfolios, budgets, and decentralized resources while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects and 3+ years in project portfolio management. A BA/BS in Engineering or related STEM field is required, with preference given to those holding advanced degrees or PMP certification. Experience in robotics, automation, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics is essential.
