Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Sr. Power Engineer for Test and Verification, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of satellite power systems.
You'll lead the verification and testing efforts for the electrical power systems of both current and next-generation spacecraft, working across the full satellite product lifecycle. This includes everything from initial design through prototyping, manufacturing, integration/assembly, launch, and on-orbit mission operations.
Working with a team of top-notch engineers, you'll develop comprehensive test plans, create verification matrices, and lead hardware-in-the-loop testing initiatives. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all power system requirements are met through rigorous testing at various integration levels. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology while solving complex engineering challenges that haven't been addressed at scale before.
The position requires a combination of technical expertise in power systems, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple spacecraft design and integration teams. You'll be expected to maintain high standards and continuously look for ways to improve system performance. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who want to make a significant impact on a project that will help bridge the digital divide globally.
