Prime Air, Amazon's drone delivery service, is seeking an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will combine outstanding technical expertise with strong analytical skills and thrive on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing scalable solutions to monitor production system health
  • Analyzing product and process defects, data trends, and compliance issues
  • Leading cross-functional forums to review performance and address trends
  • Driving Design for Excellence efforts with various engineering teams
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to manufacture safe, high-quality, cost-effective products at scale
  • Assessing process capabilities and innovating to simplify processes, reduce costs, and optimize cycle time

The role involves supporting production ramp-up efforts for drone delivery, working with various teams to maintain traceability and conformity of produced drones, and compiling data from multiple sources to produce meaningful insights and drive actions to improve business performance.

The Quality team at Prime Air owns all aspects of production quality, from the Quality Management System to Incoming Quality Control, Line Inspections, Airworthiness certifications, and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts. They pride themselves on having a strong Bias for Action, relentlessly High Standards, and a knack for analytics and data-driven decision-making.
