Description For Sr. RF Engineer, Kuiper Government Solutions

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Senior RF/Microwave Engineer in the Kuiper Government Solutions team, you'll play a crucial role in developing satellite systems and RF/Microwave circuits in Ka/K bands.

The position involves leading various aspects of RF design, from board-level work to system analysis. You'll interact directly with customers, including government agencies, to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. The role demands expertise in RF wireless systems, communications payloads, and satellite RF/Microwave sub-systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing RF link budgets and frequency planning
  • Designing RF and communications payloads
  • Performing RF design and layout trade studies
  • Supporting test campaigns for space hardware
  • Delivering technical documentation and presentations

  • Experience with RF analysis tools including ADS, HFSS, MO, and SystemVue
