Responsibilities For Sr. Safety Controls Engineer

  • Design and improve system safety controls architecture
  • Develop controls code utilizing structured text and ladder-logic on various PLC platforms
  • Identify and implement system optimizations
  • Debug internal and field issues
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Contribute to value engineering of system components
  • 25% travel expected for onsite system testing

Requirements For Sr. Safety Controls Engineer

Python
Java
  • 5+ years of designing or architecting experience
  • BS / MS Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and/or Soft PLCs/IPCs
  • Demonstrated experience with Functional Safety standards
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
  • Experience programming with modern languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
