Amazon Redshift is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their team in building next-generation hyper-scale database services in the cloud. This role offers the opportunity to work on a disruptive product still in its early stages, solving challenging problems that will revolutionize database computing in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
• Code and test complex system components
• Participate in code and design reviews
• Work with other teams to deliver and operate large scale, distributed services in the cloud
• Oversee overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance
• Mentor other engineers and help build a fast-growing team

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building large scale distributed systems. Experience with storage subsystems, Transaction Management, scale-out fault-tolerant systems, distributed systems, operating systems, large scale data analytics, and operating complex services running in the cloud are all valuable assets.
