Description For Sr. SDE, Kuiper Secure Communications Team

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide fast, affordable broadband access to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The Secure Communications Team plays a crucial role in ensuring secure communication between critical satellite functions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work on developing embedded software, focusing on low-level programming including device drivers, Linux kernel modules, and porting software to new embedded systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in all development phases, and help solve complex challenges in space-based systems design. The role offers competitive compensation based on location ($151,300-$261,500), plus equity and comprehensive benefits. This position requires expertise in C++ and Rust programming, embedded systems, and secure software development.
