Amazon's People Technology team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their Timehub team in Hyderabad, India. This role focuses on building a world-class product for attendance and pay computation needs, serving over 2 Million hourly associates across Amazon businesses. The team is responsible for developing low latency, highly scalable policy computation and storage layers using cutting-edge AWS technologies.

The position offers an opportunity to work on complex challenges in time tracking, attendance management, and productivity monitoring systems that directly impact Amazon's workforce management. You'll be involved in building custom solutions that handle real-time analytics, surge-traffic, fault detection, and data processing using serverless platforms.

As a Senior SDE, you'll be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from design and architecture to implementation and operations. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and expertise in building scalable backend systems. You'll work with a team that serves as the central hub for all Amazon.com people data, implementing secure, global software solutions that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to all aspects of agile software development lifecycle
  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions through full stack software development

Requirements For Sr. SDE - Timehub Pay Data and Policy Computation, Amazon Timehub

Java
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with full software development life cycle (preferred)
