Responsibilities For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Establish product-specific security bar, threat models & defense priorities
- Identify design & implementation defects
- Collaborate with business leaders to define security priorities
- Support product leaders as a trusted advisor
- Guide teams towards outcomes that produce products that safely handle customer data
- Assess technical debt and risk
- Provide strategic direction for vulnerabilities and product fortification
- Guide teams towards secure-by-default solutions
- Work with builder teams to implement security tools and processes
- Mentor builders in security practices
- Assist Red Teams in security testing
- Investigate emerging security issues and devise preventive mechanisms
Requirements For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years delivering security software in a production environment
- 3+ years experience delivering distributed software systems in Java, Rust, GoLang or C/C++
- 3+ years experience in delivering for cloud-native environments
- 3+ years experience in delivering software for Linux
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
