Amazon's Kindle Measurements & Insights team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team focused on providing fast and reliable metric solutions across Amazon. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on massively scalable services that process millions of messages per second, utilizing cutting-edge AWS technologies.

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions for Kindle Reader across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, FireOS, and E-Reader). You'll work with large-scale data pipelines and drive architectural decisions that directly impact millions of users. The position requires expertise in Java/Kotlin systems, with additional experience in Objective-C/Swift and C++.

  • Design, architect, and implement for Kindle Reader iOS, Android, FireOS and E-Reader
  • Manage large scale data pipelines
  • Drive architecture decisions across OS, applications, and services

Requirements For Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Kindle Measurements & Insights

Java
Kotlin
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with AWS technologies like EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudWatch, S3
  • Experience programming in C++, Java/Kotlin, Swift
