Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Network Platform

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of the AWS Direct Connect service. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting features within the AWS Direct Connect service.

AWS Direct Connect makes it easy for customers to establish a dedicated network connection from their premises to the AWS cloud. These connections help reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. AWS Direct Connect is currently available in more than 91 locations across 28 countries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to design and build innovative products and services
• Influencing product direction through development contributions and technical leadership
• Creating scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-cost distributed systems
• Designing and coding solutions for broadly defined problems
• Defining and achieving performance metrics
• Participating in on-call rotation to support services
• Mentoring teammates and helping them develop technical skills
