Sr. Software Development Engineer, AB Cart

The Amazon Business team is building a development team to disrupt the way businesses, governments, and institutions purchase their supplies. Our team focuses on building solutions to enable business customers to research, discover, and buy business, industrial, and scientific products in large catalogs across multiple devices, marketplaces, and regions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and modifying scalable software architecture for full-stack systems
• Working independently to deliver and maintain features
• Applying software engineering best practices to the development lifecycle
• Engaging in continuous prioritization efforts

A typical day involves:

• Supporting teammates through collaboration and mentoring
• Shipping and reviewing code
• Driving improvements on team-level code quality, process efficiency, and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshooting customer issues across the AB ordering domain
• Focusing on Operational Excellence
• Working with partner teams to enable key behaviors on their platforms

The Amazon Business Cart charter is responsible for the business experience from High Upsell Page through Cart main page until Checkout. The team owns unique features like Request for Quote in Cart (RQS) in Japan, and AB experience of Everywhere Cart (EWC), High Upsell Cart (HUC) page, related widgets, and their intake requests.

The role requires experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team, as well as expertise in architecture and design of new and current systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional software development, programming skills in modern languages, and experience with the full software development lifecycle.
