Sr. Software Development Engineer, Device Farm

Device Farm is building the world's largest cloud of real physical smart devices @AWS. With millions of developers writing apps, AWS Device Farm brings devices closer to the developers by providing them instantaneous remote access to real devices in AWS cloud. As a Sr. SDE, you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team building a next generation device cloud to support a rapidly growing variety of device types, form factors, architectures, communication protocols and programming languages.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing complex systems
• Coding the most complex sections
• Leading and delegating tasks to junior engineers
• Mentoring others

You'll be part of the AWS Utility Computing (UC) organization, supporting development and management of various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Mobile Development (iOS/Android)
• Experience with Testing Frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium)

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year to $261,500/year, depending on the geographic market. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
