Description For Sr. Software Development Engineer, Real-Time Streaming|Traffic Anomaly Detection, EdgeLink

EdgeLink, a crucial component of Amazon Traffic Engineering, is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their team focused on managing internet ingress for Amazon's retail and non-retail customer experiences. This role sits at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems, security, and machine learning, processing billions of requests and petabytes of data daily.

The position offers an opportunity to work on next-generation platforms for real-time streaming analytics, directly impacting the availability, performance, and security of Amazon's global infrastructure. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining systems that safeguard Amazon's digital presence through world-class internet ingress management and security measures.

As a senior engineer, you'll lead the architecture and implementation of data pipelines and analytics frameworks that enable ML-based anomaly detection and traffic intelligence. You'll collaborate with scientists and ML engineers to productionize models and build feedback loops for continuous learning. The role requires strong technical leadership skills, as you'll be setting best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and operations of distributed systems.

The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers who want to solve complex problems at scale and drive architectural decisions in a high-impact domain.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills, excels at working across organizational boundaries, and will play a key role in shaping product vision and driving long-term strategy. If you're passionate about building resilient, secure, and high-performance systems that operate at Amazon's scale, this role offers unlimited potential for contribution and impact.
