Sr. Software Engineer, EC2 VPC

Amazon's EC2 networking team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help redefine the future of cloud computing in 2025. This role focuses on the software-defined networking (SDN) dataplane stack that powers EC2 networking across various industries including Machine Learning, Cloud Gaming, Health, Fintech, and Video Streaming. The position involves working with cutting-edge networking technologies, implementing features such as elastic network interfaces, firewalls, routing, and hardware acceleration.

The role offers unique opportunities to innovate across various platforms and systems, working alongside Principal, Senior Principal, and Distinguished Engineers. You'll be responsible for leading the development of new features for the EC2 Nitro System, setting engineering standards, and mentoring junior team members.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on bonuses.
