Sr. Supplier Mfg Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As a Senior Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and monitoring manufacturing processes across our global supply base.

The position demands expertise in scaling manufacturing operations and thriving in dynamic environments with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating supplier manufacturing processes using advanced GD&T principles, leading Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews, and optimizing complex electro-mechanical assemblies through value engineering.

A typical day involves balancing tactical and strategic responsibilities - from reviewing production metrics and conducting DFM reviews to performing technical assessments at supplier facilities and troubleshooting quality issues. You'll serve as a technical liaison between design engineering and suppliers, translating complex engineering requirements into practical manufacturing solutions.
