Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (ASIC), Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (ASIC), you'll play a crucial role in defining requirements and deploying processes to deliver aerospace quality at unprecedented scale.

The position involves owning quality performance of OSAT and foundry suppliers, including requirements definition, qualification, production process validation, and failure analysis. You'll be responsible for scaling Kuiper's quality system, ensuring early detection of process excursions, and improving product reliability and wafer yields in volume manufacturing.

Working within the Kuiper Supplier Quality team, you'll collaborate with product development teams, act as the face of Quality for ASIC foundry, and lead resolution of quality events. The role requires expertise in semiconductor frontend/backend manufacturing processes, statistical process control, and industry ASIC quality standards.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $128,600 to $213,600 per year, depending on location and experience. You'll join at an exciting time with the opportunity to own quality for key categories and contribute to systems used across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing quality performance of OSAT and foundry suppliers
• Defining and scaling quality systems
• Creating closed-loop mechanisms for quality improvement
• Setting and monitoring OQC/IQC criteria
• Leading supplier qualifications and quality events resolution

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in ASIC quality, manufacturing, testing or failure analysis, with strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills. This role requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control requirements.
