Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (ASIC), you'll play a crucial role in ensuring aerospace-quality hardware production at unprecedented scale. The position requires a systems thinker with strong analytical and technical skills who will work with foundry and outsourced assembly and test (OSAT) suppliers. You'll be responsible for quality system requirements, improving reliability, reducing defect rates, and driving failure analysis. Responsibilities For Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (ASIC), Project Kuiper

  • Own quality performance of OSAT and foundry suppliers including requirements definition, qualification, production process validation
  • Define and scale Kuiper's quality system to ensure early detection of process excursions
  • Set and monitor OQC/IQC criteria across Kuiper's ASIC supply chain
  • New supplier qualifications
  • Own systems, tools, and business processes used to manage device traceability
  • Represent Kuiper Supplier Quality in cross-functional initiatives
  • Travel as needed to accomplish program objectives

Requirements For Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (ASIC), Project Kuiper

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, applied physics or related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in ASIC quality, manufacturing, testing or failure analysis
  • Knowledge and experience in statistics fundamentals and data analysis tools
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylum seeker due to export control laws
