Description For Sr Support Engineer

Join Amazon's International Seller Growth (ISG) Tech team as a Senior Support Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in empowering global sellers across Amazon's marketplaces. This position combines technical expertise with customer support, focusing on maintaining and improving critical services that enable millions of sellers worldwide. You'll work with distributed systems, handle marketplace expansions, and drive technical initiatives that directly impact Amazon's global seller ecosystem.

The role requires strong technical abilities in software troubleshooting, Unix systems, and modern programming languages, combined with excellent communication skills for interfacing with both customers and senior management. You'll be part of a team that manages highly available systems and implements CI/CD practices, while also participating in on-call support to ensure 24/7 service reliability.

The ISG team's mission is to create seamless experiences for Amazon Sellers across global marketplaces, handling millions of product listings across multiple categories and languages. You'll contribute to building solutions that enable B2B Sellers to reach wide customer bases and drive billions in revenue. Responsibilities For Sr Support Engineer

  • Provide technical assistance to customers and ensure smooth operation of software products
  • Support key services for seller growth and marketplace/region expansions
  • Interface with customers to understand requirements and priorities
  • Work on identifying and addressing risks in hardware and software
  • Maintain product documentation and features
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose software issues including on-call support
  • Drive core support engineering initiatives
  • Implement new tools and processes for operational excellence

Requirements For Sr Support Engineer

Linux
  • 4+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in Unix
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
  • Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery
  • Experience operating highly available, distributed systems
  • Experience with implementing CI/CD practices and automated testing
  • Experience with data infrastructures (preferred)
  • Knowledge of AWS products and technologies (preferred)
