Sr. System Dev. Engineer, WW AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking an experienced System Development Engineer to lead software development for robotic products in their future Delivery Stations. This role combines robotics, engineering, and analytical skills to influence Amazon's last mile automation roadmap. The position involves working with complex mechatronics products, requiring expertise in industrial automation systems, communication protocols, and software development. The successful candidate will join the Amazon Logistics Innovation Engineering team, working on cutting-edge automation solutions while collaborating with various teams including Robotics, Process Engineering, and Operations.

The role demands strong technical expertise in industrial automation systems, including TIA Portal 16+, Codesys 3.5, and various industrial protocols. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automation solutions while ensuring standardization and scalability. As part of the team, you'll coordinate software development for AMZL, working closely with product owners and technical stakeholders to define software architecture for new automation and robotics technologies. The role involves deep diving into vendor software solutions and integrating them into AMZL's Software Architecture, as well as coordinating tests and commissioning developed software in the AMZL Innovation Center.
