Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Kuiper Software group is responsible for all production software at Kuiper. The Software Health Automation team owns the Kuiper Software lab and provides lab as a fully managed service.
As a Sr. Systems Development Engineer for Kuiper, you will:
You will be part of the Kuiper Software Health Automation team, which owns labs, tools, and software for verifying the quality of networking equipment before release. This software will be operating both on the ground and in space. The team raises the quality bar before software reaches customers.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in keeping technical infrastructure running smoothly, comfortable taking on ambiguous challenges, and able to define runbooks, standard operating procedures, metrics, and alarms to keep equipment and test infrastructure highly available.
