Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global broadband access. This role is within the Kuiper Production Operations team, focusing on ServiceNow platform administration and development. As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and optimizing the ServiceNow platform, which is crucial for the project's service delivery and operations.

The position combines technical expertise in ServiceNow administration with software development skills, requiring proficiency in JavaScript, various programming languages, and Linux/Unix environments. You'll be working on critical systems that support Project Kuiper's mission to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.

Responsibilities For Sr Systems Development Engineer, ServiceNow, Kuiper Enterprise Technology

  • Maintain and optimize the ServiceNow platform including Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Configuration Management modules
  • Customize workflows, forms, and fields to meet business requirements
  • Design, test, and implement new configurations and integrations with third-party tools
  • Develop and refine scripts, UI policies, and business rules using JavaScript
  • Provide technical support to ServiceNow users and train end-users
  • Build and manage reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
