Sr. Systems Development Engineer – SRE, Kuiper

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As part of Project Kuiper's sub-team, you'll be responsible for defining and implementing digital chip SOCs for communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. This is a groundbreaking opportunity to define wireless solutions without legacy constraints, working with customer requirements and wireless system teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and optimize AWS services based ASIC EDA environments for 300 engineers
• Design and maintain test fixtures for hardware verification
• Write software and scripts for highly available operations
• Troubleshoot pre-production equipment issues
• Drive best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
• Build advanced automated build, test and release infrastructure

The role requires a strong background in SRE/DevOps, cloud technologies, and systems engineering. You'll be working with the Kuiper Silicon teams to deliver custom communication silicon for the Kuiper constellation. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $136,100 to $235,200 per year, depending on location, plus comprehensive benefits and potential equity.
