Description For Sr. Systems Engineer/Technical Program Manager – Verification & Validation

Project Kuiper is an ambitious initiative by Amazon to revolutionize global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission focuses on delivering fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, serving consumers, businesses, and government agencies.

As a Senior Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer / Technical Program Manager, you'll lead Verification & Validation of the Kuiper system. This role combines technical expertise with program management, requiring experience in systems engineering and complex applications. You'll work with multiple technical teams across Amazon, tackling novel challenges that haven't been solved at scale before.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all aspects of Technical Program Management for Verification & Validation
  • Creating project execution plans with detailed dependencies
  • Optimizing engineering development velocity
  • Driving effective teamwork across multiple groups
  • Ensuring systems development meets schedule, cost, and quality requirements
  • Making technical trade-off recommendations
  • Managing risks and requirements

Requirements For Sr. Systems Engineer/Technical Program Manager – Verification & Validation

  • 5+ years in technical lead, systems engineer, or technical program management role
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency with schedule tracking tools (MS Project, SmartSheet, etc.)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or admitted refugee/asylee
  • Experience with complex systems
