AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a talented Supplier Sourcing Manager to join their Data Centre Services Procurement group, specifically the EMEA Supplier Sourcing and Management Team. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure, which powers their cloud services worldwide.

The position involves working with a diverse team of professionals to ensure the continuous operation and expansion of AWS data centers. You'll be responsible for identifying and onboarding construction services, managing substation equipment procurement, and handling colocation services across the EMEA region. Responsibilities For Supplier Sourcing Manager- Construction, Data Centre Services Procurement (DCSP)

  • Manage AWS supplier pool to ensure continuity of supplier capacity and availability
  • Identify viable construction services, materials and long lead equipment suppliers in the EMEA region
  • Establish regional supplier sourcing strategies and timelines
  • Negotiate contract terms with new suppliers
  • Manage supplier selection process
  • Review and improve supplier onboarding policies and processes
  • Drive process and tooling improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Develop and lead supplier and customer-focused trainings
  • Establish and monitor key internal metrics
  • Implement supply chain sustainability goals
  • Define and implement supplier diversity and inclusion initiatives

Requirements For Supplier Sourcing Manager- Construction, Data Centre Services Procurement (DCSP)

  • 5+ years Supplier Sourcing experience including sourcing, onboarding and contracting suppliers in multiple countries
  • Construction sourcing/procurement activity experience
  • Demonstrated experience in lean methodologies with project management skills
  • Proven experience leading cost savings initiatives
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
  • Experience executing business transactions in multiple countries (preferred)
  • PMP, Six Sigma or similar certification (preferred)
  • Experience supporting data centre construction procurement (preferred)
