Description For Support Engineer, Digital and Emerging Payments

Amazon's Digital and Emerging Payments Team (DEP) is seeking a Support Engineer to join their mission of delivering the world's best payment experience. This role focuses on supporting Amazon's Mexico Payments Products and offers a unique opportunity to impact a growing payments area. The position combines technical support, development, and leadership responsibilities.

As a Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting complex technical issues, developing automation tools, and maintaining critical payment systems. You'll work with Java, Python, shell scripts, and AWS technologies to ensure seamless payment experiences for Amazon's global customers. The role requires strong technical skills in Unix environments and experience with enterprise-scale applications.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of software development or technical support experience, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive innovation through ticket analysis. You'll be working with distributed systems and web services, ensuring high availability of payment processing systems even during downstream service disruptions.
