Description For Support Engineer II, Benefits Experience & Technology (BXT)

Benefits Experience and Technology (BXT) builds a workplace for Amazonians to invent and deliver on behalf of customers by supporting employees' financial, education, health, and wellness needs with benefits that optimize value and are easy to discover, enroll, and access. As a Support Engineer II in the BXT Support Tools and Automation (STA) team, you will work to build tools to improve the benefits administration process, making the benefits experience more seamless for Amazonians.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first line of engineering support, working closely with product support and software engineering teams.
  • Owning issues to resolution on behalf of Amazonians, including coordination, customer communication, and tracking tasks.
  • Contributing to the development of processes and mechanisms for incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks.
  • Covering multiple products, features, and services driving employee benefits experience.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and implementing best practices in providing technical support.
  • Proactively mitigating issues using innovative solutions.

Requirements For Support Engineer II, Benefits Experience & Technology (BXT)

Linux
  • 2+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in Unix
