Responsibilities For Support Engineer II, Device OS

  • Triage defects raised by testing teams on Amazon's devices
  • Provide first level support for handling Jiras, tickets, and operational issues
  • Deep dive on defects/automation failures to find root causes
  • Interface with other teams to resolve defects
  • Monitor dashboards and applications to determine service issues
  • Perform code builds and deployments
  • Make changes to existing scripts and develop new tools
  • Help develop and refine operational policies and procedures
  • Evaluate training needs and improve documentation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements For Support Engineer II, Device OS

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience in Unix
  • Experience documenting technical customer issues
  • Working knowledge of Devices and Agile frameworks
  • Experience with defect management tools (like Jira)
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving aptitude
