The Amazon Device OS team is seeking experienced Support Engineers to join their dynamic environment. Responsibilities For Support Engineer III, Device OS

  • Provide first level of support for handling Jiras, tickets, operational issues from production services
  • Provide engineering support of incoming Jiras, tickets, including extensive troubleshooting and debugging
  • Interface with other teams to resolve defects and show strong ownership of issues
  • Perform code builds and deployments with regular communication
  • Make changes to existing scripts and develop new tools to reduce manual efforts
  • Evaluate training needs and work with development teams to improve documentation
  • Monitor service dashboards and applications to determine service issues
  • Mentor other Support Engineers and contribute to documentation

Requirements For Support Engineer III, Device OS

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
  • Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
