The Amazon Device OS team is seeking experienced Support Engineers to join their dynamic environment. Responsibilities For Support Engineer III, Device OS

  • Provide first level support for handling Jiras, tickets, operational issues from production services
  • Provide engineering support including extensive troubleshooting and debugging
  • Act as a SME on the services owned
  • Interface with other teams to resolve defects and show strong ownership of issues
  • Monitor dashboards and applications to determine service issues
  • Perform code builds and deployments
  • Make changes to existing scripts and develop new tools to reduce manual efforts
  • Develop and refine operational policies and procedures
  • Write simple and efficient tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Evaluate training needs and work with development teams to improve documentation
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders

Requirements For Support Engineer III, Device OS

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development (preferred)
  • Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID (preferred)
  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON (preferred)
