AWS Managed Operations (MO) organization, founded in April 2023, aims to reduce operational load and toil through long-term engineering projects. The team is building a best-in-class engineering and operations team to own day-to-day operations for AWS Regions, improving availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
As a Support Engineer V, you will:
- Address and resolve complex system issues
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge
- Refine documentation, processes, and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Develop mastery in diagnostic skills to unravel system architecture complexities
- Support the development and management of various AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps
- Work on specialized security solutions for cloud services

Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of technical support or 3+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience in customer problem resolution and operating under pressure
- 1+ years experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years experience with cloud computing technologies
- 3+ years of networking experience
- 2+ years experience with support procedures for production computing environments
- Development of systems automation in scripting languages
