Description For System Dev Engineer, Flight Embedded Software Team

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,000+ satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. As a System Development Engineer in the Bus S&Flight Operations team, you'll be at the forefront of developing software applications and services for this advanced global communications service. You'll work with various functional groups, designing and implementing software systems for satellite provisioning and system integration.

The role involves building and maintaining components of Project Kuiper's Customer eCommerce Services while interacting with the core Kuiper Network. You'll be responsible for developing validation tools, supporting hardware debugging, and implementing verification software. The position requires expertise in large-scale infrastructure automation and modern programming languages.

The team owns the complete customer lifecycle for communications services, including identity and account management, subscriber management, billing and payments, customer support tools, and analytics. Responsibilities For System Dev Engineer, Flight Embedded Software Team

  • Design, build, and maintain components and services of Project Kuiper's Customer eCommerce Services
  • Develop tools for pre- and post- vehicle validation and testing
  • Support software bring-up, debug of new hardware
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement optimized validation and verification software
