Description For System Development Engineer, Amazon Mechatronics Sustainble Packaging (MSP)

Amazon's Mechatronics Sustainable Packing Experiences team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to help build customer and employee experiences while managing, scaling, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure for business-critical applications. This role combines traditional Systems Engineering with development work, perfect for "builders" who go beyond basic tools to implement infrastructure as code and serverless systems.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $116,300 to $201,200 depending on location and experience, plus equity and comprehensive benefits. As part of Amazon's global infrastructure team, you'll work on scaling AWS services, improving security, and optimizing systems for high availability and fault tolerance.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience, strong programming skills in modern languages, and expertise in networking, storage, and operating systems. You'll be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies, implementing CDK (Cloud Development Kit) solutions, and supporting major corporate initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world's most customer-centric companies, working on infrastructure that supports millions of product distributions annually. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and customer obsession, while having access to Amazon's comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage, equity compensation, and sign-on payments.

The role offers significant growth potential within Amazon's technical organization, working with the latest cloud technologies and contributing to systems that operate at massive scale. If you're passionate about building resilient infrastructure and want to work at the forefront of cloud computing, this position offers the perfect blend of systems engineering and development work.
