The Amazon Consumer Payments team supports multiple payment products and processes millions of transactions daily across numerous countries and payment methods. Over 100 million customers and merchants send tens of billions of dollars through our systems annually. We build systems that provide various payments features and process payments at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues
- Developing tools, automation, and monitoring solutions
- Performing software maintenance and configuration
- Implementing fixes for internally developed code (JAVA and Ruby on Rails)
- Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges
- Improving operational excellence and readiness of the systems
- Providing support for incoming tickets across multiple products, features, and services
- Working on operations and maintenance-driven coding projects
- Supporting software deployment in staging and production environments
- Developing tools to aid operations and maintenance
- System and support status reporting
- Ownership of one or more Digital products or components
- Customer notification and workflow coordination

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
