Description For System Development Engineer, EBS and EC2 Storage System Development

This role within the AWS Hardware Engineering team focuses on storage system development, combining hardware expertise with software innovation. Responsibilities For System Development Engineer, EBS and EC2 Storage System Development

  • Lead the Hardware Engineering System Development effort
  • Build, manage, and deploy pipelines for rapid deployment of new code changes
  • Build monitoring tools and metrics for hardware
  • Work with engineers across the company for delivering next-generation AWS Storage platforms
  • Track and report progress
  • Work closely with internal customers to identify potential problems
  • Ensure hardware delivers performance, reliability and operational health

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems

  • Strong Linux knowledge
