Join Amazon Payments in Japan (JPP) as a System Development Engineer-I, where you'll tackle complex technical challenges in a dynamic environment. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining payment systems that manage transactions for JP Stores business, including credit cards and non-card payments. You'll work with Amazon branded payment products, co-branded Credit Cards (CBCC), Shop with Points (SWP), and Gift Cards (GC).

As a key team member, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving critical payment infrastructure. Responsibilities For System Development Engineer-I, JP-CP

  • Handle incoming support tickets, troubleshoot, research root causes, and resolve defects
  • Provide software support in staging and production environments
  • Develop tools for operations and maintenance
  • Generate system and support status reports
  • Maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting
  • Read and understand complex application code and make code fixes
  • Work on operations and maintenance coding projects
  • Create or improve small tools or applications
