System Development Engineer II, Systems Development (Miracle Team)

AWS is seeking experienced Systems Development Engineers to support U.S. Intelligence Community agencies in implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This role focuses on developing and automating software development pipelines and workloads, requiring excellent Linux/Unix knowledge and proficiency in modern programming languages. The position involves working with AWS service teams to ensure consistent customer experiences across commercial and air-gapped AWS regions.

The role demands expertise in designing, deploying, automating, and operating systems, including troubleshooting, deployment validation, service monitoring, and establishing new services/tools. Engineers will work both independently and collaboratively with various Software Development teams to drive system improvements.

This position is part of Amazon's significant investment in Northern Virginia headquarters (HQ2), contributing to a $2.5 billion initiative that will create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. The role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and willingness to maintain clearances for different government agencies.

AWS offers a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive base pay ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and extensive benefits.
