Transaction Data Storage Reliability Engineering (TDSRE) team at Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer III to join their mission of delivering strategic goals for Amazon eCommerce Storage Technologies (eCST) systems. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead Control Plane and Observability aspects of new storage solutions while developing tools to enhance developer productivity and automate operations.

Responsibilities For System Development Engineer III, TDSRE, TDSRE

  • Design and develop the Control Plane and Observability of new storage system
  • Design and develop tools and automation to aid operations and maintenance
  • Maintain software hygiene of the services team owns and supports
  • Work on maintenance driven coding projects
  • Operational excellence through support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting
  • Keep the compliance risks for the services team owns and support under control
