Description For System Development Engineer, STRADA ADC

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a skilled System Development Engineer to join their team responsible for maintaining and operating critical network infrastructure. This role combines systems administration with software development, focusing on supporting AWS's vast network of tools and services within US GovCloud and government air-gapped regions.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud computing and government services, requiring a Top Secret security clearance and US citizenship. The role demands strong Linux/Unix systems administration knowledge, proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Ruby, and the ability to think at "Amazon scale." You'll be part of a team that values innovative solutions and sustainable approaches to complex problems, working directly with various internal software development teams to improve systems and services.

Key aspects of the role include troubleshooting critical systems, developing automation tools, and maintaining production-quality services. The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and the ability to respond to critical events in person when needed.

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 based on location, plus additional benefits including medical coverage, financial benefits, and career development opportunities. The company strongly values diversity and inclusion, providing various employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, has a strong background in systems administration and development, and wants to work with cutting-edge cloud technology while serving government clients. The role offers significant growth potential within AWS, the world's leading cloud platform, and the chance to impact millions of customers who rely on AWS infrastructure.
