Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to lead robotics software development for their future Delivery Stations. As part of the AMZL Innovation Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of developing automation solutions that enhance Amazon's last-mile delivery capabilities. Responsibilities For System Development Engineer, WW AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering

  • Lead software development of new robotic products for Delivery Station
  • Strategize, define and manage software development of robotics technologies
  • Partner with Robotics, SW Tech Teams, Process Engineering teams, Operations, Facilities and Engineering teams
  • Develop and improve software for AMZL
  • Define and develop software structure for new concepts with automation and robotics technology
  • Test and commission developed software on machines
  • Work with Product owners and System Developer
  • Integration of vendor technologies into AMZL Software Architecture

Requirements For System Development Engineer, WW AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement
  • Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing, or monitoring
  • Non-internship professional software/system development experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
  • Experience programming with CODESYS and one other modern language
