AWS Utility Computing (UC) is seeking an exceptional Electrical Engineer to join their Annapurna Labs team, focusing on power electronics for Amazon Graviton server products. This role combines hardware innovation with cloud computing excellence, working on revolutionary system architecture. The position involves designing and developing power electronics systems, working with cutting-edge server technology, and collaborating with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities For System Power Engineer

  • Design, develop, and test power electronics hardware and analog/digital device components
  • Conduct electrical power system architecture development
  • Support engineering trades and estimates
  • Participate in schematic and layout reviews
  • Work with design partners and manufacturing sites
  • Review, identify, and qualify second-source electrical components
  • Simulate and optimize PDN using industry standard tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Conduct board bring-up and execute test campaigns
  • Test prototype hardware and systems in labs
  • Develop technology roadmap for power electronics
  • Travel 3-4 times a year for a week at a time

Requirements For System Power Engineer

Linux
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Electronics
  • 10+ years of experience in power electronics design
  • Experience in high-current, multi-phase DC/DC converters
  • Experience in power integrity design and analysis
  • Experience in leading hardware products from design to mass production
  • Experience in measurement, troubleshooting, debug in lab environment
  • Experience in schematic capture tools and PCB layout design
  • Experience in leading design reviews, PCBA board bring up and validation testing
