Description For System Product Quality & Reliability (Q&R) Engineer

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is at the forefront of cloud innovation, developing foundational services like S3 and EC2. Within AWS UC, the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team focuses on specialized security solutions for cloud services. This role is part of Annapurna Labs, a semiconductor company within AWS that develops cutting-edge products using advanced technologies. As a System Product Quality & Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring product quality through various stages of development and manufacturing. You'll work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, developing and implementing quality control methodologies, conducting reliability validations, and managing quality assurance processes. The role combines hardware expertise with quality engineering, requiring both technical knowledge and analytical skills. You'll be part of AWS Hardware Development team, contributing to the quality and reliability of AWS's infrastructure components. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while ensuring the highest standards of product quality in cloud computing infrastructure. Responsibilities For System Product Quality & Reliability (Q&R) Engineer

  • Development of DFx methodologies and BKMs (Best Known Methods)
  • DFx activities during the product design stage
  • Product quality & reliability validation (QRV) and ongoing quality & reliability monitoring (OQRM)
  • Q&R engineering of volume manufacturing: auditing, monitoring, risk assessment
  • RMAs: investigation, disposition, reporting and follow-up

Requirements For System Product Quality & Reliability (Q&R) Engineer

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, materials science or related fields
  • Knowledge and experience in PCB/PCBA design, manufacturing, testing and failure analysis
  • Knowledge and experience in quality and reliability engineering and statistics fundamentals
  • Knowledge of relevant IPC and other standards
