Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to create a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. Responsibilities For Systems Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • Develop and maintain key infrastructure to support communications system team's development and verification work
  • Analyze and mitigate potential self-interference and system interference issues
  • Implement, validate, and optimize RF lab set-ups
  • Configure test equipment for automated operation
  • Drive projects from design through planning to execution
  • Plan and coordinate feature improvements and upgrades
  • Analyze and improve availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security and performance of services
  • Develop and maintain tools

Requirements For Systems Dev Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in RF design and/or verification
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Solid knowledge of distributed version control systems (DVCS) such as Git
  • Experience in programming language such as Python, Java, C++ or Shell
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
