AWS Hardware Engineering team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to build the backbone of Generative AI cloud at AWS. This role focuses on creating server designs for AWS's innovative web services that are industry-leading in frugality and operational excellence. The position requires a systems thinker who understands the full technical stack from baremetal server hardware to userland software.

The role involves working with AWS's Infrastructure Services (AIS) team, which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You'll collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers to deliver next-generation AWS platforms, particularly focusing on AI/ML and HPC workloads.

As a technical leader, you'll solve complex architectural problems, own team systems, and work proactively to identify and address deficiencies. The role requires expertise in server systems debug, Linux systems, and various programming languages including Python, Go, and C++. You'll be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that impact AWS's bottom line and improve customer experience.
