Systems Development Engineer, External Security Services - ADC

AWS Region Services is seeking a cleared Systems Development Engineer to support cloud security services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role is part of the External Security Services (ESS) team in Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) regions, supporting critical security services including GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Security Lake, Detective, and Macie.

The position requires managing and scaling massive distributed systems, with a focus on automation and improving service quality for security operations customers. You'll work alongside security engineers and service development teams to deploy and maintain SIEM platforms, process large volumes of log data, and drive improvements in availability and latency metrics.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about systems engineering, capable of diagnosing complex operational problems, and committed to building automated solutions that scale. The role demands innovative thinking and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with peers. You'll be using both internal Amazon tooling and public AWS services to build robust security platforms.
