Description For Systems Development Engineer, GCNA - Direct Connect

AWS Infrastructure Services is at the heart of Amazon's cloud operations, responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. As a Systems Development Engineer in the AWS Direct Connect capacity engineering team, you'll be working on critical infrastructure that keeps the cloud running smoothly.

The role involves collaborating with Software Development and Network Engineering teams to develop solution architectures and automate Direct Connect network operations. AWS Direct Connect enables customers to establish dedicated network connections from their premises to AWS cloud, available in over 91 locations across 28 countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and maintain innovative solutions for service performance, durability, cost, and security
  • Develop high-quality distributed system software
  • Work in an agile environment focusing on priority deliverables
  • Collaborate with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams
  • Drive solutions using strong problem-solving skills
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements
  • Participate in on-call rotation

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $116,300 to $201,200 per year based on geographic location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
