Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer II to join their Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC) team, focusing on mission-critical services for U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while contributing to the largest cloud infrastructure globally.

The position involves designing, implementing, and supporting resilient, high-performance systems for government customers operating in air-gapped regions. You'll be working in a fast-paced, innovative environment that combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup with the resources and scale of AWS.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Linux and networking fundamentals, with deep experience in large-scale distributed environments. You'll need to think big, as you'll be building and deploying solutions across thousands of devices. The role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and proficiency in at least one programming language.

Key responsibilities include designing technology solutions, improving system resilience and performance, identifying and solving complex problems, and mentoring junior team members. You'll participate in architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and an on-call rotation supporting mission-critical services.
