Description For Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper Devices & Systems

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network initiative, designed to bring fast and reliable internet connectivity to communities worldwide. The Kuiper Devices & Systems (KDS) team plays a crucial role in managing client and server devices across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

As a Systems Development Engineer in the KDS team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance, security, and productivity for all internal Kuiper devices. The role combines systems engineering expertise with software development skills, focusing on designing and implementing robust device management solutions. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies, including EC2, CloudFormation, and GovCloud, while building scalable automation solutions.

The position requires deep experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM), Client Fleet Management, and Microsoft Intune. You'll be responsible for architecting and maintaining systems that manage a diverse fleet of devices, implementing security compliance measures, and driving operational excellence through automation and best practices.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Networking, Identity Access Management, and Security. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to Kuiper's mission of connecting the unconnected while working with advanced technologies and solving complex challenges at scale.

  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure
  • Build enterprise-grade AWS application environments using Infrastructure as Code
  • Architect and setup infrastructure on AWS GovCloud
  • Analyze and support setup of new device connectivity
